Aluminum spinners
« on: June 21, 2017, 04:52:09 PM »
I have a stash of Randy's spinners that I'd like to use on my electric set up.  I'm using the Hyperion prod adapter (HP-ADAP-50XL) and the collett doesn't fit.  What adapter do I need to make this work?

Thanks,

James

James,
The shafts on the unit you have is more than likely metric.  You will need to get someone to make your a long nut with the metric thread going in one side and the standard 1/4 - 28 on the other.   Jim Lee could probably do it for you.

Hi James.

I believe it has the M6 thread, which is the same as the AXI prop adapter for rear mount.  Pat Mackenzie makes the M6 to 1/4-28 thread x1" adapters.  I got a couple from him just recently and they're quite well made.

Infos are in the post below.  (reply #9)

Hi James

Brodak has an M8 to 1/4-28 adapter, #BH-1900

I spoke with Jim Lee and he made me 2 assemblies that work perfectly, I can't recommend his services enough.  A BIG THANKS JIM.

Huh. I use an EFlite Power 32 motor with an ElectriFly collet adapter and a Randy spinner without issues.
