Two of my E-stunters have been trimmed using alternately, the 4S and 5S LiPo batteries, along with various props. The 5S works the best, in both cases.
Problem is finding 5S battery packs! Why do the all go from 4S to 6S ?
I have a couple of Zippy 5S packs, but can't find any other types.

I've noticed the same thing. Even when you find a place that has 5S batteries they don't have the size that you need and you end up stuck with something larger and heavier and more expensive than you wanted. I've spent hours and hours on the web searching. I'm about to order from one of the offshore outfits. We'll see how it goes. I definitely sympathize with you.

Hobby King has 5S in all sizes at all prices. Go to Batteries & Accessories, Li-Polly (all brands), then check 5S at top of page.

A bit of an overstatement. They have no 2800mah 5s batteries. None, nada, zip. They have some 3000mah but the oversize brings a weight penalty and most of them are only 20C.
My flying is not of a quality that can justify the cost of Thunderpowers.

they have 2700 zippy compact 35c for 29.94, and nano-tech 2700 65-130c for51.60. Does 100 make that much of a difference's.

David,
What is wrong with 20C ?? You only "need" 12C. What would you do with the higher "C" rating?? They cost more and weigh more. I doubt that the weight difference between a 2800 mAh battery and a 3000 mAh battery would make much of a difference in flying performance.

Hobby King's USA warehouse has 3000 mAh 5S 20C Zippy lipos in stock now for $21.58. I have four of these and use them in my Legacy. The newer ones are slightly heavier and slightly thicker than same-spec earlier ones from Zippy, but no diff in performance I can detect. They have the yellow XT60 (or whatever) connectors, which is what I use on the other components so it is a natural for me. They have worked great for the last year.
