Yesterday was a great flying day with good company in Henry Kurowski and Roston Dugmore.
Attached are my 2 Centurions, they have Impact outlines but are different. Especially the white one has longer nose and tail moment arms, a thicker wing with a blunter leading edge, more leading edge sweep and a larger stab with smaller elevators.
I love to fly it
The yellow one has a tricycle undercarriage inspired by the Bob Hunt thread on his new extended tricycle Crossfire. It flies great and take off and landings are a pleasure.
Both planes use MVVS 8/680 motors powered by 25C 2700 mAh Thunder Power batteries.
The white one uses a 13x5 (repitched Dennis Adamisin 13X4 1/2PF2B series) prop giving 5.3 second laps at 9240 revs measured with a rev counter. The yellow one flies better on a 12" prop than a 13" prop. It uses a 12x5 (cut down repitched 13X4 1/2PF2B series) prop giving 5.3 second laps at 9480 revs.
I think they could fly a little faster but last September when I was fortunate to fly with the Vancouver group Chris Cox said I fly to fast at 5.1 seconds. I am trying to get used to the slower speed. However if I do decide to increase the speed I will simply add 1 click to my KR Timer/Controller and increase the speed by 0.05 seconds or add 2 clicks and increase the speed by 0.1 seconds to 5.2 second laps.
