3 bolt prop adapter for Eflite 25 and 32
« on: September 05, 2013, 09:34:31 PM »
I'm looking for a 3 bolt prop adapter for an Eflite power 25 and 32.  They make one for the 46 and 60, but not for the 25 and 32, even though there are 3 holes tapped .  One for a Cobra or AXI might fit, I just don't know which one.  Any thoughts?

Jeff,  the 32 looks like 15mm between holes and the 25 is 12mm.  This is the length of the side of the triangle.
Where can I order them?

Hi Frank:

I can tell you for a fact the AXi 3-bolt prop hub fits the E25, since I just did that. Did not like the looks of the collet prop hub that came with the E25. The motor shaft needs to be tapped (or whacked) back until the tip of the shaft is flush with the motor body, like the AXi comes from the factory. I wonder if EFlite makes its own version of this item??

Hi Frank,The postman said your adapters should arrive Friday.Just wondering if you received them and if they work?I think Hobby King sells them too for one of their lesser motors.Trax

I am not familiar with these 3 bolt prop adapters.  Do they attach the prop directly to the can vs the shaft?  Could someone please post a picture or link?

Thanks,

Bruce

Hi Bruce: The prop shaft bolts to the end of the motor can, a machined boss with three tapped holes. I had heard the E25 is a clone of the AXi 2826 and this seems to confirm it. I would check the Hobby Lobby (RC, not crafts site) for AXi parts pictures. The item is pricey, like $25, so somebody else probably makes a less expensive version. I have not checked EFlite's site but that would be a likely source.

I just got an E-flite 32 and saw the nice flat spot on the front with the three tapped holes. It sure looks like a good place to mount a spinner.  I can't find a 3-bolt prop adapter on the E-flite site.  I found some for AXIs at Hobby Lobby.  Is anything else available?

Howard,

Call these guys.  They are local to you.  Tell them we need these made and maybe they will add it to their catalog.

Custom RC lists the E25 3-bolt prop shaft as an available part for $7.99. The similar AXi part is on permanent backorder and is about $15 (including the motor mount plate).
