Electric and being single
« on: August 11, 2012, 11:54:54 AM »
No wife, no kids and I fly electric.  This is my living room.
Went out this morning to fly, second flight, motor dies in the outside squares.  Thought I'd blown the esc.
Came home and started checking.  Wasn't the ESC, so I started plugging in different timers and found
that my Ztron timer died.  Plugged in the FM-9 timer from another plane and everything worked.
Got up to go to lunch, turned around and saw that I had six electric planes sitting in my living room.
If I was married or had kids here, I'd have to find another place to work - like the hot garage I work in on the IC planes I fly.

I take it you don't have a cat or dog either...
I built a Blue Pants as a kid. Wish I still had it. Might even learn to fly it.

Robert,
It looks like your are doing some "stick twiddling" there. What RC setup are you using?

R/C setup?  Not sure I understand what you're asking.  The foamy on the couch was bought to use for indoor
C/L, but never got built for that use.  The other two are R/C arfs.  In addition, I have 5 electric helis.  Once I got into electrics,
buying a gallon of fuel is almost a distant memory.

no wife, no kids equals lots of spare time and money

neither of which I have seeing as I have two crumb munchers running around (and a wife)
