Hi team, I posted this in the 1/2A section as well since I desire to hear from both sets of experts. I have decided to build the stork first due to its simplicity. This time I wish to make it 100% electric and not either or like my previous 1/2A planes. So please let me have your golden words. She will have an Arrowind 2210/25 motor with an 18a ESC and Brodaks FM-0c timer. Love the power and timer adjustments. The current battery is a Arrowind 1300 mAH 11.1V battery. I am up to swapping the 1300 out for a lighter option.
Thanks in advance for any and all words of help on this project.
Tally ho

I think you will need a higher power ESC to handle the load when flying maneuvers.

I have been running the same setup in a Sig Acromaster. The motor is swinging an 8x6 prop. I am using a 1800 MAH battery. The 18 AMP ESC is cool after the flight. The Brodak electric chart shows that the motor will work from 1/2A to 15 size airplanes. Figure out the proper 6" prop will work for the model. You should have more than enough power for the 1/2A size model. You might be on the heavy side with that large of motor for that size model.
I say good for it and have fun.

Rosie met me at our RC field today to fly these planes, you did great. The plane flew well and with a few small repairs they will be great. Had a great time talking and flying with you.
Cheers
