depends on your timer - most give a drop in RPM about 5 seconds before cut - followed by a burst of higher RPM to get your landing speed up.

If you have a timer on the set up, then you need a stop watch on you to tell the time left.

What Wynn says. All the timers I know about give an RPM bleep a few seconds before cutoff.

You can also invest in a small "talking timer" which count down minutes then every ten seconds and finally second by second. The one I have will clip on your shirt pocket.

interesting.....  I know that my flight time is always 5:50 (that how it sets) I know that I have about 5 laps after the completion of the clover before i get the end of flight RPM signal -

no stopwatch needed
