Title: 1/2 A electric equivalent
Post by: Glenn Quarles on December 31, 2014, 06:39:20 PM
Friends, I asked a similar question in the scale section and didn't come up with an answer. Is there a formal published electric setup that can be used in the 1/2A events? Something about the Renkar rule?

Thanks!!
Glenn

We limit the use to a total of 16 Ahr battery capacity. Use it as you wish. Generally, that is used as a 1325 mAh 3s battery. But you could use a higher capacity 2 s or lower 4s. I have a Baby Flite Streak that flies just fine on a 3s 850 mAh pack.

My Baby Pathfinder needs the full capacity of 16 mAH.

Very good, thanks Larry! Does this only apply to 1/2A stunt? I got the impression from the scale forum that only IC is allowed in 1/2A.

Thanks again!

This is for our local 1cc aerobatics event. So far as I know, there are no national rules.
