What Saito to buy???

(1/1)

Bryan Higgins:
Hello Pilots

I am building a Fokker D7 Scale Model 56" WS and 6-7 pounds in weight.

What Saito 4 stroke do you think i should buy for it ? D>K

Bryan

Bob Reeves:
What do you expect it to do? A 56 or 62 will fly it, 2 ounces less than a 72 but if you need it to do more than a loop I would go with a 72.

Bryan Higgins:
Bob
It is just a scale model to fly in circles with I probably will try to learn the basics
of scale flight - take off , climb , touch & go and landing.

Model should come out to 7 lbs.  I was looking at the Saito .82 at Horizon it has
a good price but i heard it shakes or vibrates alot.  Is that true?

Chuck S. told me to go with a .91 .  Just want to get a few more peoples opinions.
I also heard that .91 are a great running Saito...    Bryan

Robert Zambelli:
Bryan - I have flown/owned every SAITO from the .30 to the .91 and they're all fine engines.
The  .82 did not have any excessive vibration. For stunt the power to weight ratio was a bit low but nevertheless, it still worked well on the 80 ounce Red Baron, pulling it through the entire stunt pattern.

I would suggest the .82 or .91.

proparc:
7 lb. weight-no brainer Saito 91. Maybe just one of the best all round Saito's made. Smoother than the 82 and more powerful.
