Title: Saito .56 Beringer Intake question..

I have a Beringer intake for a Saito .56 that is missing an O-ring to seal around the intake tube.  and the ones that I've tried so far, none would seal properly.   Just wondering where I could get the O-ring for it, or  if anyone might know the size etc.

I would guess it's the same as the stock Saito part.. Horizon should have it.

I'm pretty sure I've tried it a while back, and the O-ring were too big to fit into the machined groove.

O.k. I just confirmed it.  I pull the O-ring off my Saito .56 CL Intake and tried to put it in the Beringer Intake (see pic) As you could see, its too big.  The machined groove is not deep enough to accept that O-ring.

Seem to remember seeing a drawing of what I think was the Beringer Intake floating around the internet someplace.  It had dimensions and might have shown the O-ring grove. If it was the Beringer and you can locate it you might be able to get enough info to order the right O-ring.

Too bad they didn't use the stock Saito part, would have made it easy. Only other option I can think of is buying one of the cheap O-ring kits from Harbor Freight and hoping it has one that will fit.

If you have a decent hardware store around go find their stock of O-rings, and try ones out until you find one that fits.  If they don't have a bunch of different O-rings, they're not a decent hardware store!

If that is the intake I gave you it was machined by a fellow in California from the Beringer intake plan I gave him.  The really easy solution as I told you was to give Ultra Hobby Products a call and get one of the Pat Johnston intakes they make.  Has different size verturi inserts and works like a charm.

yes, thats one of them.  I just wanted to make use of it, as it could be modify to fit a spigot Nva along with a 1/4" nylon choke screw in it.  and the Pat Johnston one can not be modify to put in the variable choke which is simular to the Tom Dixon or the CL ones.   Other then the O-ring was missing, it should work.  All it needs is an O-ring with the same ID of the Saito one but smaller on the OD.

Found the drawing... Pretty much the same thing I do with the stock carb modification. Spigot on one side, choke screw on the other. http://www.tulsacl.com/SaitoCarb.html
