Colin,
Glade the OS 26 is working out for you. As long as the uniflow with the clean air ram vent is working just keep using it. If you find that you need more power (100% throttle) and it starts running soft up top then you could try the conventional over/under tank inboard side vents. When I have used the conventional vents I block off the bottom vent after filling. I have used both types with my FS's and the key is to have the vent (uniflow or conventional) mounted so it is above the fuse on a profile and on the inboard side. I had two profiles that drove me nuts with inconsistent engine runs (sometimes perfect, other times run-a-way). The tank vents on both of them were on the outboard side of the fuse. Then I remembered the inboard vent tip that someone at one of the GSCB forums gave, changed the vents and boom - solid engine runs from then on. Just something to keep in mind.

Hi Dennis

This is my OS 26 FS Surpass setup on the Yak-9. Must have done something right cuz the engine has run great. Uniflow tank with overflow plugged, and ram air to the uniflow vent on the inboard side of the fuselage. 9-7 APC sport prop, 12.5% nitro, right at 10,000 rpm on the ground. Once in the air, the engine speed has been uniform no matter what maneuver I do.

Colin,
Thats the way to do the tank vent on any profile. Similar to what I did on my Ringmaster.
