Anyone have any experience or thoughts on the Magnum 52a four-stroke for stunt use?

Thanks - David

Dave - a few guys in the Philly Flyers tried the first version of the Magnum 52 around 20 years ago.
It appeared to be a copy of the OS Surpass 52.
It ran well, very smooth but not quite up to the power of the OS. I tried and compared the two of them on the Polaris and the power difference was noticeable.
However, the Magnum had very little run time so it may not have been fully broken in.
I have a Magnum 30 4S and it makes very good power.
If yours is a 52A, there may been some performance improvements.
Best to put some run time on it and then try it on a plane.

Hi Bob

Excellent.  Thanks for the good advice as always.  I will put some flight time on mine and see how it does.  I hope to see you at Brodaks.

Hope it works out for you.
Regarding Brodak's, I'll be there!!!

I forgot to mention, after an hour or so of run time, check the valve lash - as I recall it's .002 but you might want to double check.

Will do.  Will do.  Thanks for the valve lash target spec number.  See you soon.

Cheers
