Title: Four stroke speed lubrication!
Post by: Andrew Tinsley on July 09, 2015, 11:01:43 AM
Bob reeves says that you need the lowest viscosity fuel for performance four strokes. His arguments sound eminently sensible. I am desperately trying to get a 4 stroke speed model finished and sorted for our British Nationals. I have a choice of an OS 70 FS or a Laser 70. The OS will be more than happy on synthetic oil but the Laser should be run on castor according to the manufacturer, Neil Tidy. I am leaning towards the OS engine as it is lighter. What is likely to be the problem using synthetic oil in the Laser?

Regards,

Andrew.

P.S. OK obvious thing is to ask Neil Tidy, but I am still interested in peoples experience.
