Omaha Nebraska

The Omaha Orbiting Eagles fly at two sites in Eastern Nebraska.  Seymour Smith Park at 72nd and Harrison is our primary field and whenever the weather is good you should find someone there who can answer basic questions.  We have several club members who work with beginners so ask to see if Ed, Bob or Gary are present.   We are always there the third Wednesday of each month for a club meeting if you dont run across us otherwise.
We also fly in Monnach park on the south side of Fremont just north of the Platte River bridge.  Usually you cand find folks there over the lunch hour in good weather or evenings.   Ask to see if Gary or Bob are present.

Got something really interesting going on at the Stategic Air and Space museum west of Omaha about 25 miles on I-80.    They are hosting an indoor flyin that will include all aspects of modeling as well as displays by the ultralight guys, glider guiders, fixed base operators and vendors.   Tables are free and we will have a space big enough in thier restoration hanger (it can hold an assembed B-29) to fly at least 1/2A's.    Should be a lot of fun.   The date is March 26 and 27.   I will be teaching kids to fly with a little known all foam control line electric model Cox brought out about the time Mike Pratt was there.   Should be a lot of fun and it is a world class museum with most of the airplanes that were flown by SAC over the years.   They hope to make this an annual event.   Display space is free and they really are interested in vendors who are willing to sell product while there.
