Are there any CL flyers in the Modesto, CA area. Or in the Sonora area.
I am presently in Modesto, but I thinking real hard of moving to Sonora in maybe 3 months. My asthma just can't handle this smog. Spent the last three days in the hospital.
Just left Houston, TX area about 3 weeks ago.

Dues are not bad at all and the One time initiation fee of $25 is not bad
But what does sting is the One time field assessment fee of $300. Note: the assessment fee may be paid in three $100 installments, once upon joining and each year until paid in full.
Sounds like you can pay that out over three years. So it does not sting as bad.
It is nearly equal distance from modest and Sonora. And is the closest field to Sonora. They also have CL and Water flying here.
So will give them a closer look.

Sean Lenci is an active flier in the Modesto area. He may be on this forum but I couldn't find his listing. I talked to him recently and he does not have a reliable c/l flying field. Closest one may be the Woodland Davis Aeromodelers site near Davis or with Brian Massey and the Fresno group. 8)

I visited the club I mentioned above and the DO NOT have cl facility and in fact after visually assessing the site the is no room for cl. Bummer
I am putting together a cl plane that I will try to fly in the park next to where I am presently living. It is essentially abandoned during the work week and when I would fly anything anymore.
