has anyone tried one of the new Fora's? I saw an OUTRAGEOUS claim on fb that it will turn 40k+ on an F1C prop. I replied that it seemed a bit much for an unpiped engine.

Not necessarily outrageous. Have you seen one? Most are gear drive and all of the competitive engines turn near that. Direct drive set-ups (not many flying them) run very low pitch super thin carbon props. Engine only runs for 5 seconds after launch.

I'll believe it when I see someone other than the person selling it state they get that rpm with no pipe on a non gear propeller. The advertisement didn't qualify it to a gear driven set up.
I'm pretty sure I've come close on a shaft run or two....:)
