As an FAI spectator, and F2d competitor for many years, 1970 to 1991 I would like to make a comment.

With the WC in Australia the population of contestants willing and able to make the trip, the entries will not be what they were to drive to Muncie.

Sure, it's only fair to give the Australians a turn at bat, but this is big leap vs Muncie, or even Europe. I expect that the USA will be able to field at least a three-man team in all four events, but not with a lot left over.

F2C has done a GREAT job in downsizing the equipment to fit in a handy carrying case.

Per the AMA web site:

3 entries each in 2021 & 2022
5 entries in 2023
No Nats report from 2024 due to World Cup & World Championships.  The USA had the full three teams in the WC and won the team bronze medal.

The US was one of three countries to have a full complement of 3 teams. The other two countries took the first and second place team awards. Right now, there is only one serious team that I know of in the US. That doesn't make for much of a team trials.
