Equipment at WC
« on: November 11, 2016, 08:44:16 AM »
Hi All,
Does anyone know the equipment ( model, engine, tank, pan, filling system) used by the top teams at the 2016 WC.

Hi , I have only just found this Forum. In the final. The 2 Australians used models made from Fitzgerald molds. Tanks & Engines were Lerners, No pans in modern F2C models way to heavy!! Engines are mounted on steel studs glued or molded into the fuselage crutch. Fuels systems have a main tank & a separate "cool fuel tank" with a metering valve to add this at a pit stop if required.Compression can be chemically added or reduced using this system. The cool fuel is normally some sort of Naptha with a higher flashpoint than the Kerosene in the fuel mix.
Not 100% sure but The French probably used Yugov engines & tanks in their Black Spirit models .
Hope this helps
Ian
