Over the years there has been on-again, off-again discussions about having another CL World Championships here in the United States. Well, in 2024, we will do it.

AMA has submitted an offer to the FAI-CIAM to host the event in Muncie at the conclusion of the NATs. In order to make the Control Line NATs and the World Champs work together, the CL NATs will be in early August with the World Champs immediately following. This will allow folks to attend the NATs and the World Championships without having to make a second trip to Muncie.

The organizing committee currently consists of me (Bill Lee) and representatives from each of the four pertinent CL SIGs (NASS/PAMPA/NCLRA/MACA). We will be looking for volunteers to help run things, so be prepared to step up.

OK.

So at the moment 100 CHF = $117 US.

In my admittedly inefficient Chevrolet van at current fuel prices the round trip will cost me almost $100 US.  These fees won't break me either.
