schulze ESC
« on: May 06, 2021, 04:41:18 PM »
Hello from “down under”...🇦🇺🦘
Just wondering if any one has any info on setting up the Schulze  61K F2  B  controller. Mine came with virtually zero info for control line use even they are supposed to be so designated for that purpose.
Thanks in advance,
Grahame G

Does it use DIP switches for programming?
I have the manual for the 18.46 F2B, I can scan and post it tomorrow.(Assuming I can find it :) )

For the 18.46, the things that make it suitable for F2B are the brake in governor mode, and the operating RPM range and fineness of the adjustment.

The regular controllers don't have brake in heli governor mode, and the RPM range they cover is much larger so the adjustments end up being fairly coarse.

For governed mode they just sort of work, no muss no fuss. I don't know if they will work as effectively with an active system however.

Here is a scan of the "hints" page for the 18.46 F2B controller.

If it helps these are the switch settings I'm using on my 18.46 F2B with a Pat MacKenzie/Kim Doherty timer
1-0ff
2-on
3-on
4-on
5-off
6-off

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks to both Pat and Dwayne....
Yes, the controller does have the dip switches for setting. The 46 seems to have been a specific esc for C/L , but I am not sure about  the 61.
The information  provided is much appreciated, and a great starting point for me. I will put it to the test, and get back....🤞🇦🇺
Thanks again,
GG

Another thing, the 46 does not have a built in BEC, I don't know about the 61

Thanks to you both...again❗️
The F2 B hints will be most helpful. It seems that the manuals I have cover a multitude of controllers including the 46 and 61, but the offer was much appreciated.
As were the DIL switch settings. Both of my 61 controllers, (no BEC’s) came with quite different default settings....🤔but I will use your recommendations.
Best wishes,
GG

Grahame

Both the 46 F2B and 61 F2B are faster than a regular r/c esc. They were optimized for our purpose. They are not to be used for r/c. They are not opto coupled among other refinements. They are both exclusively for C/L use only.

Thanks Kim,
I was a little confused, as one controller had “F2B”  penned on  the esc label with a marker, the other one had no such marking. The DIL switches were set differently,  otherwise both units appear identical.
Appreciate your input.
