Hi all, About 4 or 5 yrs ago I bought the Brodak 1/2A electric package. My first electric. It flew sorta OK. It kept a slab wing 20 incher out of the grass...barely
Arrowind 2205/22, 12amp esc, 7.4v x 800ma, 6 x 5.5 prop. This output about 12K rpm.
Fast forward another slab wing experimental.
Same setup BUT with an 11.1v x 1000ma and still only getting 12,210rpm.
I checked battery volts with a meter and got 12.85 after a 1C charge
According to Arrowind's site this is a 1650KV motor so in theory I should be getting 18,315rpm on 11.1v.
Does anyone know or remember if the earlier 12A ESCs were limited some how?
I'm getting 12,210rpm from either the 7.4v or the 11.1v
It's bad enough I went to the "DARK SIDE" of electric control line but now I'm REALLY gettin the raspberries from the rest of the club members over this!
Something about leaking electrons all over the field
