Jim

Do use the programing card or the laptop to set your ESC?

Marcus  i use the castle link cable on the home computer to program and have it in my lap top at the field but havent had to change at the field....fm 9 timer i use my program box from hubin for rpm flight time changes at the field.....jimmy

I hope someone can clear this up for me.  I'm in the process of programming my ESC for my E Flite 32, however, in the literature that came with my motor it clearly states "slotted 12-pole outrunner design".  Jim's setup here says 14 poles. Could there be a reason for the difference in the number of poles between his motor and mine?   Or am I misinterpreting the data as stated?  From what I've read in these threads, if you put in the wrong number of poles, it will definitely affect the way your motor will perform.

Thanks

Vince

Vince...your motor is 14 poles as all e32's are ...it makes all the difference in the world with your programing..choosing the three rpm's gives something to govern to the esc even though the hubin programmer will give you the high setting for lap times ...most all of the settings relate to how fast the esc reacts to the load to control rpm and braking such as the wing over going up hill versus down and reactions to wind on one side of the circle versus lap speed.hope this makes sense....jim

Jim, thanks.  I'm not sure why the literature that came with my motor says 12 poles, but it is definitely a 14 pole motor.  I went to the Horizon Hobby website just to double check and there it is in black and white.

Thanks.
