Like almost all ESC's the Mantis manufactured by ZTW comes with default factory settings. In order to change these setting you need to obtain the Mantis LED Programmer. The process is very simple. Just push in the ESC throttle plug into the small slot on the top of the LED card and then hook up your battery. The LED Program Card will light up. There are nine possible settings and the LED card has them all listed on it. Simply scroll through the menu, check the current value on the screen and make the necessary changes. Here is what we set our systems to before we ship them to our customers:
#1 BRAKE - 1 (brake off)
#2 BATTERY TYPE - 1 (Li Po)
#3 CUT OFF VOLTAGE - 1 (2.8v)
#4 MOTOR TIMING - 1 (Auto)
#5 SBEC VOLTAGE - 1 (5V)
#6 GOVERNOR MODE - 1 (RPM Off)
#7 MOTOR ROTATION - 2 (REVERSE)
#8 START UP STRENGTH - 9 (50%)
#9 LOW VOLTAGE CUT OFF - 1 (REDUCE POWER)
NOTE: for those who prefer not to use a pusher prop set #7 to 1 (Normal)
If you suffer an event where the ESC is shocked it will reset itself to the factory default settings so I suggest always having a ZTW Mantis LED Program card in the flight box.
