Hi, Everyone!
A friend of mine just gave me a seized Cox engine. It was in a plastic bag lined with gunked-up fuel residue. What can I do to un-seized this engine that seems almost new on the outside?
Thanks for the help!
All the best.

Soak it in fuel for a day then take it apart and clean well with same fuel. Thats the easiest #^

If the engine is truly just "gunked up" with old Castor Oil, then preheat your oven to 350° F., install a wood prop, and place the engine a pie pan. After about 10 minutes, remove the engine from the oven. USE OVEN MITTS!!! Hold the engine in one hand and gently rock the prop until you can rotate it. Then clean the engine with solvent.

after all of the above your NVA and fuel passages may still be blocked. I've found it useful to use a small syringe to push some fuel through the passages to clean them out. :)

Take a heatgun for monokote and slowly heat it up till the castor melts. It usually doesnt take much.
