OS .10FP versus OS .10FSR

OK, so my He 219 will need two good ".10" size engines (original had two Fox .15 slant plug).  These new .10s have to be stronger in the high rpm/low pitch mode.

Which of these two engines are stronger, the FP or the FSR?

Bill, the FSR is going to have the power and RPM advantage, but I think the FP is going to be more manageable for stunt. I have a couple of 10FP's but no FSR to compare to.

Thanks, Clint.  I have both and since it is a profile, switching shouldn't be much of a problem.  I just hadn't thought of that.  Boy, I can be dumb sometimes............. ;D

As an addendum:  the original model was powered by a pair of slant plug Fox .15s.  I feel that either the FP or the FSR will be stronger engines.  What say you all?  Planning on running 7-4 props and in a just off peak 2 cycle. 

I have no clue as to how much fuel will be needed to fly a pattern...... ???

 Hi Bill,

 I used a couple of fp .10's for 1/2a combat (legal down here) and found they were super user friendly.

 More power than my mates old slant plug fox .15 and guaranteed easy starts. I found they wouldn't "get up"on a 7x6 prop but with  7x4's they really go ballistic. :)

 When starting they are sensitive to over priming. My technique was to fill the tank, choke until fuel reaches the spraybar, then pull it once only over tdc whilst still choking, connect the power and flip. 9 times out of 10 a first flip start.

 Using 10/22 fuel i was getting around 5 mins from 1.75oz.

 Awesome little engine.

Hey Bear, I got an FP-10 off my buddy Eric and have been using it on my son's Brodak Flite Streak trainer.  Its user friendly, about as quiet as an e motor with the factory muffler, and provides plenty of power.  I would guess that the FP is going to be lighter than the FSR which can't hurt.

I will weigh the two engines before long.  This one I am going to build as soon as I can get back to building.  Have no clue as to when that will be but hopefully in the next month or so.

Steve, good luck at Huntersville.  Looks like neither Aaron nor I will get there.
