Webra "Glo Star" .20 ?
« on: September 18, 2007, 08:55:43 PM »
I picked an old Webra .20 Glo Star engine and was wondering if anyone has ha experience with them ?

I'm thinking it's 1960's vinntage , as it calls for "Mc Coy" glow fuel (no nitro) .
I've had Webra R/C motors in the past and they were superb .
I'm also wondering if there are any .20 sized kits that this engine might fly ?

Thanks

I never had a C/L version of this motor but i did have a few of the R/C type and still do. These were really wonderful to own and operate. Made when Webra was at the top of their game. They are well balanced, have decent power and had a carb that really did work. Of course I didn't have a muffler, they all had exhaust restrictors. Does anyone hace a C/L venturi and valve to sell or trade?

Not a kit, but this "Fast Richard" design might be about the right size and looks like an easy build, plans available from Barry Baxter.
