What would be a good muffler on a Veco 35, or should I use one on this older engine, also where can I find one?? Thanks

Hello
Mecoa have a range of Tatone universal mufflers , not all are in stock but a variety of in cowl mufflers can be made to work well. A bit of silicone can help secure them and stop them vibrating loose. Some reworking of inlet and outlet made be needed to ensure they are not too restrictive. In cowl and peace pipe styles are great for profile and combat models due to their low profile .

Boot - which VECO 35 do you have?
Three or four bolt backplate?
If it's the three bolt version, it tends to overheat with a muffler.

It is the infamous 4 bolt version, Robert.. Hope this helps...

Hello
Most older engines will get a lot hotter with a muffler fitted , just have to keep the load down and as Tatone states in their instructions go down one prop size ie. 10x6 to 9x6 and make sure the outlet size is large enough but without going deaf. Most fields we fly at and competitions require we use a muffler which creates some novel solutions, have seen some really nice home made tube mufflers too.
