Hey guys -
I prefer to completely disassemble an engine for crock pot/anti-freeze cleaning but the rod on this engine hasn't enough clearance to slip off the crank pin.
Anyone know how?
Thanks.

UPDATE: Never mind - just wasn't holding my mouth right ;D - wiggled it around some more and it slid off.

I stripped one down a couple of weeks ago and had no problem. With the liner out and the rod sliding free on the gudgeon pin to the rear I just turned the engine backplate side down, gave it a shake and the rod fell off the crankpin. If this doesn't work for you then make sure the rear bearing is fully seated and that the crank hasn't moved back through the bearing.

Thanks Brian -
It's in the pot overnight but I'll check the bearing seating before reassembly.
