Hi, all. I still have the first engine I ever owned, a Torp 35 Green Head. It's probably a mid-60's model. It has a 4 bolt backplate. The slotted head screws are still in pretty good shape, but I can see problems on the horizon, and would like to get socket head screws for it. Could some good soul out there tell me the sizes for the head and backplate screws so I can get some from a local bolt and screw store? The head has two long and four short screws, and the backplate screws are; of course, all the same length. Thanks. Glen Wearden

If I remember right they are 4-40 X 1/4. If in doubt take engine to your local ACE Hardware and start trying them out starting with the 4-40 socket heads. At least that is what I do. DOC Holliday

Thanks. I just tried them and they are 4-40s. Easy to get. Thanks again. Glen

Hello Glen
I always had a fondness for those finger-burners. Still have a number of them in my collection box. I preferred the .32 but the .35's always seemed like a strong engine (at the time). Good Luck with it...........
