Hello All:
I was flying my older OS .35S-ST .46 hybrid and it ran very poorly on my usual 5-29 fuel. It usually runs very well on this mix. The plot now thickens. On the first run off the day, I accidentally ran a tank of 11-11-5 through the engine and the engine ran perfectly! The next 3 flights on the 5-29 fuel were awful. The engine was difficult to needle and it ran very inconsistently. Did the first tank of fuel change anything in the engine?
My flying mate insisted that I switch to an LA .46 and stop messing with these old engines. He talked me into that idea!!! It is past time that I get with modern engines!!!! I have seen those OS LA engines run and they run very well!! Easy to start and CONSISTANT!
Now if only Rossi would make a .40 Stunt engine! Lol
Be Well,
