Title: This is a scream..
Post by: Ty Marcucci on October 04, 2020, 10:15:20 PM
My OS .25LA engines head was on backwards. Sure enough. Only thing I did to it after getting it off E-bay was to install a metal back plate and an OS needle assembly. Runs fine.  Good thing the combustion chamber is round...

Oh, and I'm leaving it alone.   H^^

Sunday,,Oct 4thwhile flying in the Ringmaster thingy, I was getting my OS .25 LA engine ready to start when Ronnie Thompson said my engines head was on backwards. Sure enough. It has been that way for 9 months. That's how long I have had it in the Super Ringmaster. Only thing I did to it after getting it of Ebay was to install a metal back plate and an OS needle assembly. Runs fine.Good thing the combustion chamber is round... LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~

  Good idea.

It doesn't make any difference, and at least some people have, in the past, made the rear head fins taller than the front, on the theory that the air at the rear was hotter than the air in the front, so more fin was needed at the rear. It doesn't make any difference.
