The Free Style Hurl- This Weekend
« on: September 14, 2017, 09:33:05 PM »
This weekend only. . .

In direct rejection of the limitations of the World Famous Fox 15 Hurl
The competing "Freestyle" Hurl will be held at the open auditorium at this weekends Meat and Meet contest. Due to space limitations entry is being restricted to the first 700 to apply. Very few spectator spaces are left due to unlikely possible demand.

No onerous rules or red tape, no expensive fees or qualification process is involved.
You can bring any engine you like and you can hurl (or Toss).

Got an engine you loathe (like the B€%d>k 40), no problem. There are no limitations on engine choices and this is very likely, no, almost definitely likely, the Hurl for you. It up to you to bring your favorite Hurling engine. Plus we will be allowing postal and proxy hurling at no extra charge and without limitations should you be unable to attend this prestigious event.

Our honourary President of the Free Style event is the incomparable David Fitzgerald.

Plus + +

"Dave Fitzgerald is innocent" T shirts will also be on sale in all childrens sizes this year. Do ask yourself if you shouldn't pre-order now to avoid disappointment.

Looking forwarding to seeing you all at the end of the field.

INNOCENT? Innocent of WHAT, for goodness sake?   I am skeptical, to say the least.

It's nearly the happiest day in the happiest place on Earth, how can anyone be disappointed?

Sounds like y'all will sit around the campfire singing "kumbaya", smoking weed and drinking Napa Valley wine? But at noon? Please don't do a repeat of the tragedy reported from this years "Burning Man" debacle.   010! Steve

I say you add a twist to it.

Everyone must throw with the off hand.

That should make for some awkward throws and might make it more exciting and dangerous for the spectators.

What if an entrant doesn't have an off hand? Or only has one hand? Sounds discriminatory even to me. Legal action would be a virtual certainty. Don't do it!

After my last post, I had to take the wifey to the hospital and had some time to contemplate my comment about "Burning Man". I decided that Hurl Commissioner Larry Fernandezgerald (sic) should look into having a Fox .15 Hurling event added to the Burning Man event, and do some demo flying onsite. Perhaps a free CL training event for Burning Man participants? Any of his many quicky Monokoted models should be suitable. I hear there are a lot of space-minded folks that go to those things.  D>K Steve
