Hi guys,
I was told that the Rossi 40 could handle a 13/6, I tried a 13/5 and I believe that prop is to much for her. She did great on a 12/5 prop, using only 2 ounces of fuel. The Rossi needs a little more breaking in but she's doing well. Very quiet with the OS SF Muffler. At the moment power wise she's very close to my OS46LA. My OS loves the 11.5/4 prop running at around 10,000 rpm's, using 5 1/2 ounces of fuel. At the moment I've been running the Rossi around 8,400 rpm's. Next trip to the field going to try and run smaller props on her, 10/7 or 8??? I think she broke in enough to let the rpm run wild and going to see what she'll do?

Lap time, with the 12/5 is around 5.2, not bad?

Rossi is correct, it will run in stunt mode. Randy, what do ya think would be a good rpm for this baby??? She's suppose to develop 1.9 horse at 17,000 rpm. So far I really like her, thinking maybe if I run a smaller prop and let some more R's in her, might get closer to her power band. Just wondering what size ship she will pull??? If she makes that much power, I would think she would be able to pull 62 to 72 ounce size ship?

Most of my 6o engines are not rated at this much horse power. If she gain a little more R's in maneuvers and doesn't sag, might have a winner. Between fuel consumption, horse power and she doesn't weigh anymore than most of my 60 engines?

Would appreciate any input cause I think the Rossi is a winner, at this moment, Gary
