Sorry if this has been answered 50 times already but couldn't find an answer using search function.
How much fuel is a PA40UL on pipe in a 605 inch stunter likely to need to complete the pattern with 5 or so laps to spare? This will be a metal uniflow tank with all tubes forward housed in fuselage. I have a 5-oz hard tank available but would like to hear from some users, and Randy Smith especially, as to fuel requirements. Oh, will be using 3-blade Bolly or Eather 11-4 or 2-blade APC 11.5-4 or thereabouts. Sea level West Coast location with dry air. 10-10-10 Sig fuel with extra castor to bring total oil to 22% (unless that's a bad idea with this motor).

you will not need extra oil 20% is fine I use mostly synthetic oil with no more than 1/4 or the oil to be castor, I also use 5.5 ounces in my 40, you may get a little better milage with the smaller ship

Thanks Randy. Looks like a 6-oz tank is the way to go. The plans (Oriental Plus) do call for 6 oz tank.
