Tank Set-up Proper. Just want to be sure.

It's been quite a while since I placed an R/C tank in a model.

Now I'm placing an R/C tank in a CL model.

Scale application so no stunts and I will control the engine shut off using a servo on the carb. Just like R/C.

Anything wrong with this?

The copper is the vent.

Hi Charles.  I'd switch the filler and pick-up tubes.  As it is, the pick-up tube will swing to the outboard side when in flight and may end up acquiring a hole by rubbing on the filler tube. H^^

Good call from Glenn. What fuel are you planning to use. Remember that nitro leaches brass—the zinc, I think—so it becomes brittle and cracks.

I would replace the brass tubes with copper.

Wow Geoff....thanks for the catch.  He's absolutely right, I always use copper for my tanks for that very reason. H^^

We used brass for years and years and years in R/C.  n~

However, I will change those brass tubes to copper tubes.

What are you putting this in? If scale then the conventional venting would be OK. If Stunt you might want to consider doing uniflow with a second clunk line (you will use this to fill also) that ends about where the pick-up clunk go into the silicon tubing. Use soft, thin wall silicon tubing - the clear stuff not the blue. Keep the copper pipes short as they come out of the rubber stopper (say 5/16" ish) to give maximum flex to the clunk lines.
