I am trying to resurrect a G21/46 Super Tigre. I would like to find a piston ring and a wrist pin. Does any one have a suggestion and/or a source for any of these parts? The bearings are toast, but I can get them from Boca. The present ring might last a while, but the wrist pin is missing one of the pads.
Any help would be appreciated.

Try This,
I have changed my email address and lost some information in my address book, so please contact me for any of your needs for Piston Rings and some glow parts.
My new email address is: ringmaster46@msn.com
Let your guys in the R/C and C/L Clubs know.
Thank you, Frank Bowman / Bowmans Rings

BINGO!!!!!! I agree with Greg. Frank is outstanding for this. His rings are outstanding, and he does all the other repairs to the engine very reasonably.
Two other options for this are Tom Lay and our own Randy Smith.

I agree strongly about getting your ring from Frank Bowman. In fact, Tom Lay uses Frank's rings in all his rebuilds.
If you are unlucky with other sources for the wrist pin, try an EBAY seller named "robair81". He has a large quantity of ST parts at reasonable prices; we've done business several times with complete satisfaction on my part.

Thanks for all the info. Frank contacted me and I ordered a ring and wrist pin from him.

Does any one have st 46's for sale or are they hard to find?

If you can't find the original ST Wrist pin, you may try to use an Enya part. The head for the Enya 45 6001BB and 45 6002 fits perfectly the ST G21 46. Enya still have all the parts, including pistons and wrist pins brand new for these two engines, and perhaps they will fit the ST G21 46 as they are very similar. Randy Smith now can order parts directly from Enya for you.
Good Luck,
Martin

Hi Steve,
Around where you are, there are hundreds! Now getting them might be another task, the use of a ski mask and flashlight might be necessary...... ;D
They come around at swap meets and things, but not as much as they use to. They also show up on ebay quite often. Getting a real good one will probably be kinda spendy. Sometimes it is just as easy to get a trashed one and have Randy Smith, Frank Bowman, or Tom Lay rebuild it. Then you know you have a good one.

What Bill said. I bought mine, apparently NIB or pretty close, for $40. You just have to be there at the right time, with cash in hand. It went off to Tom Lay for his touch. I'm planning on putting it in a WU kit P-39, tho I'll admit that a .46LA, Magnum XLS .36, or Brodak .40 would also work fine. D>K Steve
