Strange 40VF run behavior

I've been running 40VF in my new model. Prior to that model, I ran 40VF's in another ship and had an absolutely bulletproof run. Not with this one. The model tends to charge on outsides of a horizonal, vertical and overhead 8's. Strangely enough, I do not get any charging on outside loops and lap times are equal.

Here's what I've tried:

1) plastic tank with 2-into-1 clunk
2) plastic tank with single clunk and fixed uniflow
3) metal uniflow(using it now)
4) two different engines.
5) with and without engine cowl(suspected airflow problem)
6) different venturi shapes.
7) Twist NVA back and forth

Nothing seems to work!  HB~> HELP!!!!

Could be the tank shim is out.  The round eight is the best place the set the shim.  Get it even there first.  When you go into the eight the inside gets a big slug of fuel slows a little, may not slow but the engine is more rich, the outside it goes a little lean and comes on hard and charges.  You may not notice it as much on the single maneuvers because you dont have the opposite right there next to it. 

Stick one motor and tank in there.  Make sure there are NO leaks anywhere.  Keep shimming it and see what you can get.  See if you can get it to go opposite.

Hi Steve
What size is the venturie, sounds like the  motor may want a slighlty smaller  venturie and you will need to get the tank set perfect  on that combo

Holy crap...

You changed engines?

Its not the engine.

Changed fuel tanks?

Its not the fuel tank.

Maybe you have a vibration harmonic in the nose.  It happens.  I know Marvin Denny said he had one Nobler that never got any better, it would just keep doing weird stuff and wore out several sets of controls.

Did you do something different on the nose construction?

Either way, I am sorry that I do not think there is a any easy answer.  Sounds like something that would happen to me!!!
