I've come across an ST 51, round head, which has no muffler and I'm not sure it ever did or ever will. It has a single hole drilled in the left side of the exhaust, but nothing to match it on the right side. There is metal on the left side in the exhaust stack that allowed a hole to be drilled, but, nothing like that to allow drilling on the right side. One bolt to hold a muffler on? Anyone ever seen one like this?
I suppose a strap muffler is in the cards.
Thanks,

Super Tiger used a 2 piece metal strap back then for that engine

Thanks Randy,
I assumed that's how they did it. Got a muffler like that lying around?

I may have, some of them took the same muffler as the G21 46, measure the width and thickness of your exhaust

The screw hole is actually for a R C Exhaust Baffle . Tho you see some pictures of mufflers affixed with one bolt there . NOT big heavy mufflers though .

Hi all.
If it accepts the ST G21 46 bolt distance, you can try to obtain an old Merco muffler (the three pieces bolted one). Itīs light and small.
Kind regards.
Manuel.

I think I've found the Merco muffler that works with it. This muffler splits length- wise into two pieces so you bolt on half the muffler with a threaded strap to the case, then bolt the other half of the muffler on. I'm sending the Merco muffler to the new owner. I think it will work...
Thanks for all the information,
