Title: Sources for Fuel
Post by: David Ruff on January 29, 2018, 11:03:01 AM
Need fuel sources. I want to duplicate Missile Mist, if possible which is: Duke Fox recommended Missile Mist for this engine. Missile Mist was 25% nitro and 25% castor. Where can I get it??
Maybe I can go lighter on the nitro. 15 or 20%?

Frank.  Remind me about HAMS Club Fuel again....

Try the Powermaster site?  They run to "modern" oil mixes, though (meaning -- no all-castor).

Sig should have something similar, if not exactly the same.

I blend any concoction I want with Torco Nitro and Methanol , Sig Castor and other Synth oils and Riches brew sourced UCON LB 625 oil as wel as some of Rand Smiths AERO 1 additive

If you get all the components  (easy but not cheap) you can duplicate almost all the old school blends... in fact if you want you can still get the very bad stuff they used to make smell like shoe polish...Nitro benzene

I am just going to live on the edge and order the Brodak 10/11.5/11.5 and run it in all my engines.  Fox .35s included.
I will let you all know when I seize or blow up an engine.

Try Ritch's brew, he will mix what you want.

Rich

They only ship quarts, thus no HazMat fee.
For ukie stunt purposes, shipping gets a mite spendy.

Their prices include shipping.
Prices seem a little goofy to me.

Pure nitro $57.50
Ready to run fuel in anything from 20% to 66% nitro for $47-$48.
Pure meth for either $47.52 or $33.50.

If I did any business with them, I'd buy 66% nitro fuel and use it top spike low nitro fuel, knowing that I wasn't reducing the oil content.

But In reality, I'll just buy two of three cases from Randy at Toledo.
