Source for Rossi .15 piston and cylinder?
« on: June 11, 2017, 02:21:51 PM »
       Hello:

For many years I have been advised to get a Rossi p&c to make my .15 engines run much better.  This was the advice for a G20/.15, Cox Conquest and recently, my MVVS D7.  What I want to know is where does one find these items.  Are they plentiful and very easy to obtain?  I think that the Rossi .15 was first produced circa 1973 so I can not imagine that these p&c are abundant.

How much of a task would it be to "drop a Rossi p&c into other engines?  Would it not be better to purchase a modern engine if one wants higher performance?  What am I missing?

                                                                                                         Be well,

                                                                                                         Frank McCune

Hi Frank, Rossi mark 2 ABC piston & liners and new con rod are available as a set from Mark Greenwood in the UK. Should be able to find him on Face Book or the Barton Forum. These are made in the Profi Factory in the Ukraine and are very Good Quality. The Con rod Big end will need re-bushing to 3/16 for a conquest though. Price was about $150.00 Australian Dollars.

Think its the Rossi , Taipan & Conquest that swap out ,

a new FORA was about $ 100 WITH a spare P/L at one stage here , which is the classic FAI T/R preferance , it seems .
