Title: small case johnson 35

HI RANDY;  Just got a johnson 35 small case, only other johnson i have is a 29R it has a restrictor  in the venturi ,should the 35 have one also?& if so what size  [dia.]spray bar should i be using ,or could i not use the  t he restricton,with a larger {dia.] spray bar?                                         thanx in advance for your help

 Not Randy but, I just checked my NIB small case engines and they
don't have a restricter, the needlevalve body looks like it's very close to standard ST size.

 thanx walter ; just want to say thank you for the infromation, wasent sure ,sronome of older  engines ie. torps had them johnson 29 r has one?

HI Ron

I checked mine  also  and  found  no  restictor, Are you going to use this  engine  in a  plane?  Is  so  what  type?
Typically  you would  want  somewhere between a  260 and 290  hole in the venturie  if you have a  ST  size  spraybar.

HI RANDY; THANKS FOR THE EFFORT , TWAS THINHINGE  BUILDING AN ARMADILLO  [FULL FUCE ] MAGICIAN,OR A VIKING? ALTHOUGH THE ENGINE SEEMS TO HAVE GOOD COMPRESSION.I WILL NEED TO RUN IT FIRST AND SEE.. ;D

My small shaft Johnson 35's are among the best running engines I own.
