OS 49 CL engine. Good for stunt?

I just picked up this week an OS .49 engine at a yard sale for $7.00. It has a Dykes ring, slanted plug, single bypass and ball bearings. I haggled it from $10.00
It runs! Has super awesome compression but seems to use a lot of fuel. I use my own with a total of 18% oil (Klotz 80-20 syn/castor) and 10% nitro. It used 5.5oz in less than 6 min. with an APC 12-5. Is that OK? I can always get a bigge tank or use 5% nitro.... I do not know anything about an OS 49....
 Is it a good engine for stunt or should I find another?
 I plan to use it on a new Pathfinder from Brodack's. Thank you in advance.    H^^

Yes setup properly the OS 49 will work very well for stunt, I saw one fly a Shark 45 very well

That is a fairly old engine a product of the 60's if my memory is right. Only problem is parts to keep it running as I don't see these show up on any of the auction sites. Still at $7.00 what is there to lose.

I have some parts for it, bearings are here and I think rings can be had

Doesn't that engine have a rotary exhaust baffle for speed control?

And if so what muffler do you intend to use with it?

I got it with an old bar stock style clamp muffler. Has one 4-40 allen with a Nylock that is on the back of the exhaust. It has a spring inside of the muffler that goes from one side t the other. Seems to be adjustable (open or close the spring with a slotted screw) but it is frozen. I think at one time, Du-bro may have manufactured these very, very long ago...
The engine runs sweet...
