More Nitro = Higher Engine Temp' ?

Fellas , help me out please .

Does increasing the nitro content in fuel mean the engine runs hotter ?

Testing my TT 36 on the bench yesterday  , she seemed to run hotter using  fuel with 8% Nitro/ 20% lube'.
Normally I use around 5% nitro , along with 20%  lube'.

HI Robin
The answer is most always NO, in stunt you do not lean more with more nitro, you normally use the same or richen the mixture, plus you are again , normally using more fuel when you add nitro, this give the same or most times a cooler run.
However "if" you are peaking the engine out, then YES you can run hotter with more nitro.
Remember running hot is normally a function of how lean your running the mixture.
