Title: Question on the new .75 's from Randy S. and Richard O.
Post by: Norvaldo on October 16, 2006, 07:14:51 AM
The PA Merlin .75 and the RO-JETT .76

I have read from other treads that these fit  a ST .60 mounting which  in mm is 20/44
However ; what about tank size ?
I have currently 6 OZ (one 6.5 oz) tanks in my planes.
Is that sufficient for a full pattern run ?

Not really  you will need to plan  on an  8 ounce  tank,  athough  some  are doing the pattern on a little  less.  I need  7 ounces min.

The  PA 75  is the  same  bolt  pattern as  the  ST 60.  I do not know  about the  Jett
Regards
Randy

The RO-Jett 76 has the same mounting dimensions as Richard's other engines (51, 61, and 65). It is not the same as the ST 60.

I have flown the pattern with a six ounce tank and the RJ 76, but I don't recommend it. You have to choke the engine down too much.

Winfred is flying a RO Jett 90 with a great big grin of late....
I have no idea what sized tank he is using...
