I knew I saw the listing recently... They're listed as order pending.

The tech notes and picture are interesting. Notes say that the cylinder is Nickle plated, not Chromed, but is still called an ABC, not ABN. What the picture shows doesn't look like any ABN cylinder I've ever seen, but also doesn't look like an ABC, unless it was left completely uncleaned after chrome op. Any other ideas/opinions?  ??? Steve

Edit: Dunno why, but the link to Tower's picture didn't work today...did last night. Yet Andrew's link to the item worked, the site is up, etc. So, I snagged the picture and posted it here.

Just to make everyone ill, I had a NIB .25VF bought on RCUniverse, and @#$% USPS lost the #@% thing. The seller is refunding my $$, since I requested insurance and he forgot, but I'd a whole lot rather have the engine. Very honorable of the seller to handle it this way, too.

Aside from losing two packages in the last month, USPS seems incapable of undamaged delivery. I've received 5 kits from various sources, and all but the Gieseke Noblers had damaged boxes. At least the contents were OK!!!

I have never and I mean never received a package from DHL that has not been damaged and I don't mean a dent or crunched corner but torn open and some contents gone. I have a association that I deal with and they ship everything DHL and I have always gotten it but never without some damage and they won't admit to it even happening. ~^ mw~

I'm not surprised about DHL.  I had a package ordered that was to be delivered overnight by DHL. The delivery driver "got tired and went home" instead of delivering!  I got the package 3 days later!

I've had good luck with USPS on small packages, but never have had a kit sent through them.  UPS usually does a good job.   In spite of their reputation as "Universal Package Smashers" I don't remember ever getting one damaged in a way that would harm the contents, external dings, yes.

Oddly, perhaps, I've been getting things from UPS for years and years and have yet to have a problem or any real damage. Occassionally, I've had a corner of a box mushed a bit, but never any internal damage. I've gotten model plane stuff, computer stuff, what have you and always fine. Probably helps that the UPS delivery guy is my next door neighbor. He has intercepted stuff for me and brought it home when he got off. Very nice guy.
