What is a good starting lenght fo a pipe on a O S 46 VF ? and what RPM ? ???

Geez........ it's been a while, but no one else has answered, so.........

IIRC, 17 1/4 and about 10,600 with an Eather 3-3/4 pitch 3 blade prop, *about* 12" diameter.  That was with Randy's "old" 40-46 pipe.

I could be off here, but maybe it will spur someone to correct me!   n~

Thank Bill I was just setting up the pipe tunnel on my new plane, and I wanted to check if I was in the ball park, it is set at 17 1/4" now so I guess
I can build around it . can go longer if needed.   #^

HI larry

You  need to make sure you can get the pipe  out to 18 1\2 inches

My OS46VF ended up about 18.5 inches. I'd leave the room.
