PA .51 pipe lengths

Can you tell me the length I should begin with using your quiet pipe on the PA .51? Also, do you measure straight line from the glow plug to the reflector baffle in the pipe or do you try to account for the length of the header offset as well?

Hi Bob

Tell me the props your going to use and the ROMs and I will give an answer, I will also send you the chart  and engine sheet.
Typically with the quiet pipe and a  12.2 x 4.2  you would use about 17 to 17 1/2  .
This will vary longer with larger props or more pitch. And shorter with smaller props and less pitch.
I setup the chart to measure in a straight line, from the  glow plug (center of chamber) , to the first baffle ( first reflective surface).
The first baffle in every Aero pipe is now at the 1/10 inch bump at the back of the pipe.
All of the new pipes have a transistion area that is 1/10 inch larger diameter at the first  baffle.
If this isn't clear  let me know I will post a picture
Did you get my email?

Regards

Randy
