Has anyone had experience with the J'EN engine?

Hello Dick,
Living in the UK, I have read and heard that the J'EN engines are pretty reasonable stunt engines. Obviously they are converted RC engines, but converted by Just Engines themselves. The engines are made to Just Engines spec by a Pacific Rim  manufacturer. The quality is very good indeed. These engines are not PAs or RoJetts, but never the less, at least one Brit expert uses them in F2b. On a value for money basis, they are hard to beat. The only thing I can't stand is the purple and black colour scheme!

Regards,

Andrew.

Thanks Andrew.  I wonder if there is a distributor in the US.  I would be willing to take a chance on the .57.

Or what about a 53 Magnum true ABC?

OK, how does it compare?  Have you dealt with the J'EN line?

Hello Dick,
As far as I know, there isn't a US dealer. If this is correct, then by the time you have paid shipping and duty, it perhaps isn't such a good deal! Maybe Randy is correct in pointing to the Magnum 53.

Andrew

No I have not compared it to a JEN, however from the reports the 53 is maybe stronger, I have setup several for people and they run with good 60 type power, and will pull a 60 sized ship easily. You just do not run them like a FOX 35, they use a larger lower pitch prop and maybe made in the same plant

randy,
Do you have any experience with the SK or JBA brands. I bought a .50 SK, looks like a TT. I have a Rc arf that it is going to power. Haven't ran it yet. Engines from both brands are very inexpensive($59 for the SK .50). From what I've read low RPM, 12" or 13" prop.

I have a Magnum 53 with the boost port blocked. Great running engine. Really good 4-2-4 break and will swing the same prop as my ST60. I used it in my USA-1 and it was a killer combination.

How does the Magnum 53 compare to the Tigre 51,  power  &  weight  wise ?
