OS35s Crankshaft insert
« on: June 05, 2018, 05:06:00 PM »
I had to remove the backplate on my ""Big Art" OS35s and lost the little insert between the crankshaft and the backplate. mw~  Anybody know where I can get one?  It will run OK without it but I don't want to do it long. y1

Thanks - Ken

Try Crawling Round on your hands & knees .

Or sit upstairs & have a coffe , go into a catononic state , walk into the room in a trance ,stop ,  and reach down and pick it up .  :-\
This works in a 2000 sq foot wood shaving floor with a similar sized Norton timing cover oil seal 'O' ring .

NEXT TIME YOULL BE MORE CAREFULL .

Get a strong light . I use a flashlight . If you find my ruler or two hobby knives while your looking , would you let me know .  H^^

You may as well put some pictures on here, of any mods . While your in there.

Lees Machine shop here should be able to whip up a batch , and keep everyone satisfied .

Get Im to do some 25 LA/FP & 35/40 ditto Wrist Pin Pads
while he's at it .

Maybe you were washing it in acetone & left them in it when you threw it out on the lawn .  :-[ :P :-X

I even tried the "laying the flashlight on the floor" trick.  I think it was carried off by a delusional cockroach.
I will give Lee a shot or wait and see if somebody might have one from an engine that did a 60' wing over on 58' lines.
At least it will run without it.  It is either that or get drafted to judge classic this weekend.
