OS FP .20
« on: February 16, 2021, 06:22:37 PM »
Hello guy's new to the Fp .20,  I'm scratch  building a California quicker, i believe it's around a 40" wingspan, weighing in at the high twenty oz range.  Will the os Fp .20 pull this around fairly well?
Thanks Jim

Hi Mr. Jim,

Are you concerned the FP .20 is a little small for your plane?

Maybe we can horsetrade. I'm about to be a Veco Squaw owner, and am afraid the Magnum .25 may be a bit too big for the job. The Magnum is a full ounce heavier than the original kit's recommended Veco .29.

We can take this off forum to discuss a little deeper. If you care to consider...I'm in no rush at the moment. If you want to see my trade rep, I go by the same handle/avatar here, eBay, RCGroups, and CoxEngineForum.

Feel free to hit me up via PM to trade contact info...no commitment required. Again, consider this tire-kicking.

Thanks,
Jim

Very similar dimension to the Skyray 35, slap on a 9-4, adjust to peaked out lean, back off 3-6 clicks until you get a small but distinct drop in RPM, good to go. Run it STOCK, exactly as it comes from OS, no changes to anything.

Thanks Brett for your input,  will do, i'm building a SkyRay now with a Fp .25.  The Quicker should come out lighter than the Skyray i was thinking, that's why i was asking about the Fp.20. for the quicker.
